Heads up- Hurtathon cancelled this year

After a whirlwind of racing (2 races in rochester- 3 in Lake placid, 1 in old forge (+ more if you count sprint heats). It is time to recover, and get back to skiing the last flakes right off the trails. 3 classical races remain on saturday’s before the NYSSRA Championship (Skate -Saratoga biathlon club: Sacandaga Mini Marathon). The results have left the points standings tight.  GHN-ADK just barely pulled off the win in spite of injury and illness. PERU and rochester put in solid performances to get on the podium. The Race for championships is wide open at this point. When Rochester clubs or NYSEF have come out in force they are unstoppable, but with their focus on States and JR. Nationals they may let this years championship slip by.

Rochester results:

Rochester JNQ Sprint 2-2-2020 Rochester JNQ Classic 2-1-2020

On the individual racer points front Halloran, Truppelli, and Rose are running away from the pack. Halloran is a shoe in to repeat as Women’s NYSSRA Nordic points Champion, and the Men’s division is overdue for a new Points leader.

Keep an eye on the weather and check skireg for updates on these Classic races:
