10. \u00a0It’s still winter and the skiing is still awesome in Lake Placid!<\/p>\n

9. \u00a0It’s one of the few times where biathlon and cross country get to share the stage at an event. \u00a0Race and cheer on your Nordic Skiing\u00a0brethren!<\/p>\n

8. \u00a0There are four great races to participate in, including our feature race, the 21 km classic Champions Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

7. \u00a0End of season awards!!! You’ve been skiing hard all season and NYSSRA wants to reward you for participating. \u00a0Only skiers who compete in the Champions Cup race are eligible for end of the season awards. \u00a0Age-group awards and the new NYSSRA Red Group awards will be presented. \u00a0You must have skied in at least one other race and participate in the Champions Cup race in order to be eligible. \u00a0Double NYSSRA points are awarded for the Champions Cup Race.<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Club Championship 12 km Freestyle Relay. \u00a0Bragging rights and the coveted Club Championship Banner are on the line on Sunday afternoon. \u00a0Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish in one of three categories, men, women, mixed. \u00a0Teams are made of 2 0r 3 skiers skiing alternating freestyle laps of the 2 km course. \u00a0Sign up your skiers now, and finalize your relay teams on race day.<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0The 21 km Classic course heads out over the “masters-friendly” trails of the biathlon side. \u00a0With few places for big attacks, the mass start race should come down to a heated sprint at the finish. \u00a0Be part of the excitement!!!<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0High Peaks Cyclery <\/a>will be sponsoring the 21 km Champions Cup race with awesome raffle prizes. \u00a0Don’t miss out.<\/p>\n
