Congratulations to all the junior racers that worked so hard to qualify for the 2014 Junior National Championship races in Stowe, VT. \u00a0Those juniors that qualified for the Mid-Atlantic race team can be seen here:\u00a0http:\/\/www.midaxc.com\/home\/announcements\/mid-ajuniornationalfinalrankings<\/a><\/p>\n

It was a challenge to qualify this year especially given the weather conditions tossed our way. \u00a0Some of these kids battled pouring rain in Lake Placid, soft deep snow in Old Forge and one qualifier was even cancelled. It was awesome to see them stay so positive and work so hard.<\/p>\n

The teams for the U16 (J2) and Eastern High School Championships will also be drawn up from these lists as well as from the results from the State Championship High School meet. \u00a0The NY teams were not named in Bristol as planned because the trip leaders had not been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Rob Hinsdill<\/strong> will be coaching the U16 trip this year and if you are interested in attending or helping out please email him at hinsdill@yahoo.com. \u00a0The following list of athletes have qualified and expressed interest in attending this weekend of racing.<\/p>\n

The Eastern High School Championship<\/strong> <\/span>team has \u00a0not officially been named because a trip leader has not yet been found. \u00a0If you are interested in learning more about this event please visit here:(EHSC)<\/a>. \u00a0If you are interested in leading the trip, helping out, waxing etc.\u00a0Please send an email to Margaret at\u00a0margm@nysef.org to express you interest. \u00a0If there are not trip leaders\/waxers\/organizers and chaperones unfortunately athletes who wish to attend will have to make their own travel arrangements and stay with their parents. \u00a0This is not an ideal way to have this trip so if you are willing or able to help organize the NY team please volunteer your weekend. \u00a0It will make a much better experience for the kids.<\/p>\n

Here is the EHSC qualifier results\/list. <\/a>Athletes highlighted in red put their name on the sign-up sheet at Bristol and expressed interest in attending. \u00a0Athletes in Blue are too young to attend this years championship races. \u00a0Margaret Maher will be able to help wax at the venue but will not be able to serve as trip organizer.<\/p>\n
