Thanks to the officials, volunteers and everyone who participated in the 2014 ESWG TourNADO. \u00a0What a great event! \u00a0This three day, three race affair tested skiers in various distances and techniques and the snow and venues were in great shape.<\/p>\n
Skiers who competed in all three events had their NYSSRA Points added together to determine overall TourNADO age-class victors. \u00a0The ESWG TourNADO was also part of the NYSSRA Points Series, the NYSSRA Club Championship Series and part of the Wilkinson Cup Series. \u00a0Tremendous points were on the line throughout the entire weekend. \u00a0Racing continues next weekend with the Great Sacandaga Mini-Marathon on Saturday and the Shen Classic on Sunday. \u00a0The following weekend (2\/22-23) features the Cookie Clash at Dewey Mt, the Winona Forest Tourathon and the Poronkusema Pursuit. The Final Stop on the Wilkinson Cup Circuit \u00a0will take place back at Mt Van Hoevenberg during the NYSSRA Championships March 1-2. \u00a0There is still a tremendous amount of racing to be had in NY State!<\/p>\n
Jackie Garso<\/strong> (Saranac Lake Nordic Ski Club) won the U16F class and was the overall Junior Girls’ ESWG TourNADO champion. \u00a0Jackie finished 1st in the Junior Girls’ Sprint, 1st in the freestyle race and 2nd overall in the classic event.<\/p>\n Scott Shultz<\/strong> (NYSEF) won the U14M class, finishing 2nd overall in the Jr Boys’ prologue, 1st in the Freestyle race and 2nd in the classic finale.<\/p>\n Rosanne Van Dorn<\/strong> won the womens’ TourNADO overall with a 4th place in the Womens’ prologue sprint, a strong 1st overall in the 20 km Freestyle race, and held on with a 5th place in the 7.5 km classic race on Sunday.<\/p>\n
