{"id":1887,"date":"2014-01-04T22:35:24","date_gmt":"2014-01-05T03:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/biathlon.nyssranordic.org\/?p=1887"},"modified":"2014-01-04T22:35:24","modified_gmt":"2014-01-05T03:35:24","slug":"details-for-osceola-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biathlon.nyssranordic.org\/?p=1887","title":{"rendered":"Details for Osceola Race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/syracusebiathlon.com\">Syracuse Biathlon Club<\/a> will be hosting a race on Saturday, 1\/11\/14, at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uxcski.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Osceola Nordic Center<\/a>.\u00a0Race format will be Sprint, 7.5k for women \/ novice \/ youth \/ grand masters, 10k for men with two shooting stops.<\/p>\n<p>Schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8:00 Registration<\/li>\n<li>9:00 Zero<\/li>\n<li>9:15 Safety Clinic<\/li>\n<li>10:00 Race<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Safety clinic is required for anyone trying the biathlon for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Online registration available through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skireg.com\/Net\/3654\" target=\"_blank\">skireg<\/a>.\u00a0 Online registration $20, closes Friday, 1\/10 at 5:00pm ET, $22 day of the race registration.\u00a0 Novice and Youth (&lt;18) fee is $15.\u00a0 Note that you can register using skireg and pay the day of the event.\u00a0 Whether you pay online or day of, please register online \u2013 it\u2019ll make it easier for you and us!<\/p>\n<p>Beginners welcome!\u00a0 Just bring your skis and we\u2019ll provide the rifle and training.\u00a0 Training will be at 9:15.<\/p>\n<p>Note that we will be offering a short\/flat course for those who may have limited skiing experience or feel the longer distances are too challenging for their ability.\u00a0 This course will be 5km and will not have awards and will not be a qualifier for ESG or NYS Champs.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t joined the Syracuse Biathlon Club, you can do so when registering for the race.\u00a0 Membership is $10 per individual and $30 for family.<\/p>\n<p>Note that if you are not a member of US Biathlon Association (USBA), you\u2019ll have to pay an additional $10 for \u2018membership for a day\u2019.\u00a0 To join the USBA, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamusa.org\/US-Biathlon.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">US Biathlon web site<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Syracuse Biathlon Club will be hosting a race on Saturday, 1\/11\/14, at the Osceola Nordic Center.\u00a0Race format will be Sprint, 7.5k for women \/ novice \/ youth \/ grand masters, 10k for men with two shooting stops.
