The NYSSRA fall membership “race” has officially closed and the super-computer is fast at work tallying up the totals to see which NYSSRA club has jumped out to an early lead. \u00a0Now that it is December we can start to look forward to the great upcoming races on the calendar and the exciting points competition that will ensue. \u00a0Each NYSSRA sanctioned race offers you a chance to earn points to help your club win the championship banner. \u00a0Be sure to highlight the 5 “Wilkinson Cup” races on your race calendar. \u00a0This mini-series of races can help earn your club earn double points, eternal personal glory and the cash-money prize pack at the end of the season!<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Season Opener<\/strong>: \u00a0This year\u00a0NYSEF hopes to host the season opener in Lake Placid. \u00a0DATE: <\/strong>Sunday, December 14, 2014\u00a0<\/span>RACE LOCATION: <\/strong>Mt. Van Hoevenberg\u00a0START TIME: <\/strong>10:30 AM<\/span> mass start by race distance\/gender\u00a0DISTANCE:\u00a0<\/strong>Ladies 5 km Course 5km (1 lap) U16 boys\/girls. \u00a010 km (2 laps) U18\/U20\/U23\/Senior\/Master men\/women\u00a0TECHNIQUE: <\/strong>freestyle\u00a0BIB PICK-UP: <\/strong><\/strong>8:30-9:30 AM\u00a0<\/span>AWARDS: <\/strong><\/strong>following the race.\u00a0Online registration closes Friday, December 12 at 6 PM<\/span><\/p>\n

The PIE Race:\u00a0<\/strong>This year the Osceola Pie race will be the 1st stage of the “Wilkinson Cup” mini-series<\/em>. \u00a0This race is at the Osceola Tug Hill XC Center and is shaping up to be a big event with some of the most delicious prizes you will see all season. \u00a0Here are the details:\u00a0WILKINSON CUP SERIES RACE #1 Classic technique. 5k for U16, U18, Senior, and Masters, 2k for Bill Koch skiers 10:30 a.m. start for Bill Koch, 11:00 a.m. for juniors, open, and masters, interval start Pre-reg by Dec. 18, $20.
