The NYSSRA qualification season for the Mid-A Junior National Team, NY Eastern High School Championship Team and the NY U16 Championship team wrapped up in Lake Placid on January 22nd. Athletes who have met the qualification standards for the Mid-Atlantic Junior National Team are indicated in RED on the final points list found here.

Athletes who are currently in high school, have raced in 2 of the Mid-A qualifier races, and have a points total lower than 450, are qualified to be part of the New York State Eastern High School Championship Team. Additionally, high school skiers at the New York State Public High School State Championship Meet will receive an invitation to this team as well as the top 3 junior boys and girls finishers at the Empire State Games which are being held this coming weekend. The team will be filled when 24 boys/24 girls commit to the trip.  These athletes will have to signup on skireg  as soon as possible to reserve their spot on the team.  The final balance for the trip will be due ten days before the trip.

Athletes who are currently skiing in the U16 age category and has competed in 1 of the scheduled JNQ races this winter, and earned a point total under 450 points is invited to be part of the New York U16 Championship Team.  Additionally, high school skiers who are under that age of 16 at the New York State Public High School State Championship Meet will receive an invitation to represent NY high schools at the U16 Championships. The team will be filled when 24 boys/24 girls commit to the trip.  These athletes have to signup on skireg as soon as possible to reserve their spot on the team. The final balance for the trip will be due one week before the trip.
