Online athlete registration is open for the February 1-4, 2018 Empire State Winter Games at Lake Placid. With over 30 total events NYSSRA Nordic organized events include cross country skiing, biathlon, and ski orienteering. There are no ESWG qualifying races required for competing in these NYSSRA Nordic events.

This year’s Athlete Jacket — Register in advance to receive this year’s special edition Athlete Jacket. Features include a quilted lined interior, fleece-lined hood and a stylish black and white flannel exterior. This jacket has an MSRP of $79, but athletes receive one for free with registration.

The competition schedule and registration link for Scholastic (U21) and Masters (21 and up) divisions are located on the ESWG website www.empirestatewintergames.com under the sports drop down menu.

Specific ESWG Tour-NADO cross country skiing, biathlon, and ski orienteering information will be updated from the links of the NYSSRA Nordic website.

Athletes and their families are encouraged to make reservations soon for overnight accommodations in the Lake Placid area.

In their 38th year, the Winter Games brings together athletes from across the State and beyond to compete in events at the Olympic venues of Lake Placid.  Since 1981 NYSSRA Nordic athletes have participated in skiing events with record setting performances and some athletes have gone on to college, national, and Winter Olympic level challenges.
