NYSSRA Nordic members are reminded that applications for NYSSRA RACER SUPPORT GRANTS are due January 1, 2011. The program will award 24 $100 grants (12 to women and 12 to men) on an application basis for this ski race season.
Criteria for selection of grant recipients include (1) proposed use of the grant, (2) past racer performance and (3) geographic balance of applicants from regions of the state. Applicants must be current NYSSRA members and apply by using this online form. The form includes a letter of application that states the specific reason for the request and cites racer performance with examples of past results.
Successful grant recipients will receive email notification of selection by late January 2011.
Many years there are more grants available than applicants, be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
