We are finalizing plans for the 2nd annual National USSA J2 camp to be held first week in August.
We’re once again accepting applications for up to four coaching intern positions for the camp. We’d like to attract 2 male and 2 female collegiate or recently PG aged ski racers to serve as coach interns for the camp. Last year the intern coaches gained valuable experience and in the process, helped to provide a fun and educational environment for the athletes.
All travel and on site expense will be covered for interns. They will help the head coaches (Rick Kapala, Ali Deines, Josh Smullin and myself) supervise daily scheduling for the skiers, help manage workouts and glean more experience towards a post college coaching career. Please spread the word to college age skiers who you think might be viable candidates for these coaching intern positions. They need to have strong skiing backgrounds, be good communicators, blend enthusiasm with maturity and be willing to work as a part of team of a staff. Coaching interns will need to be USSA licensed coaches.
