Morning all
As most of you know, NY NYSSRA Nordic has a new Nordic club, Capital Region Nordic Alliance http://capitalregionnordicalliance.org/about . We are a developing not for profit dedicated to providing year round nordic events in XC, Biathlon (paintball , paralympic and .22 cal), Orienteering, and Snowshoeing. CRNA is dedicating itself to equally serving two prominent populations…the able bodied and the disabled-particularly the military and youth at various sites throughout the capital region…specifically on Rensselaer Plateau. We are obtaining our NFP status through Disabled Sports USA http://www.dsusa.org/about-overview.html which supports organizations that work with the disabled military population.
A requirement from DSUSA is an initial membership of 20 members, 10 of which are disabled. CRNA plans to exceed that number significantly in both populations. On behalf of those military and community members who live with special needs and disabilities, we ask that you consider joining CRNA as an individual or family. Your membership will start CRNA off on the best foot enabling us to secure our NFP status and build our alliance and programs for those with special needs/disabilities.
If you are a leader of a club or organization, please distribute our membership application to your members (able bodied and disabled alike) asking them to consider joining CRNA. Value from membership will be discounts at CRNA events, discounts from sponsors, and empowering roles in CRNA. Any questions, please contact me via email or cell at 315-396-9967
We thank you for considering CRNA membership. You will help so many realize that wonderful relationship with both nature and their fellow participants.
Happy Holidays
