On March 8-10 a number of New York J2 high school skiers went to the TD BANK New England J2 Championship race in Holderness, NH. Every year, this race brings together 225 of the best Junior 2 (14 & 15 year old) Nordic skiers in the northeast. This year’s participating teams include: Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York, with guest teams including Great Lakes and CXC Idaho. This is event full of fun, family, great conditions, and awesome competition. it is a great way for enthusiastic skiers to enjoy spring ski racing in New England and travel with good friends and make new ones.
This year New York sent Ryan Young, Eric Houck, Connor Hrynuk, Henry Uzdavinis, Matt Forshey, Brian Chambrone, Owen Putnam, Aaron Huneck, Sarah Duclos, Amy Duclos, Maeve Peabody, Megan Greene, Glenice Gallagher, Emily Cheney, Amelia McDonnell and Olivia Phaneuf.
