11 hearty skiers braved the frigid temperatures and breezy conditions at Mt Van Hoevenberg on December 14th to take part in the biathlon clinic put on by the Saratoga Biathlon Club. Thanks to the support of the ORDA crew we were able to hold the clinic despite some last minute electric issues discovered the night before. The class was a good mix of male and female athletes of all ages with some experienced racers and some first timers. They were all motivated to learn and not afraid to participate despite the less than favorable weather conditions. Plus there was just enough snow to use rock skis and not sneakers! Instructors included Tom Moffet, Sean Halligan and 1980 US Olympic Biathlon Coach Art Stegen.
