The Syracuse Biathlon Club will be hosting a race on Saturday, 1/11/14, at the Osceola Nordic Center. Race format will be Sprint, 7.5k for women / novice / youth / grand masters, 10k for men with two shooting stops.

Safety clinic is required for anyone trying the biathlon for the first time.
Online registration available through skireg. Online registration $20, closes Friday, 1/10 at 5:00pm ET, $22 day of the race registration. Novice and Youth (<18) fee is $15. Note that you can register using skireg and pay the day of the event. Whether you pay online or day of, please register online – it’ll make it easier for you and us!
Beginners welcome! Just bring your skis and we’ll provide the rifle and training. Training will be at 9:15.
Note that we will be offering a short/flat course for those who may have limited skiing experience or feel the longer distances are too challenging for their ability. This course will be 5km and will not have awards and will not be a qualifier for ESG or NYS Champs.
If you haven’t joined the Syracuse Biathlon Club, you can do so when registering for the race. Membership is $10 per individual and $30 for family.
Note that if you are not a member of US Biathlon Association (USBA), you’ll have to pay an additional $10 for ‘membership for a day’. To join the USBA, visit the US Biathlon web site
