Team HURT will host the 2014 New York Biathlon Championships at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid on Saturday. The day will feature two races, in the morning there will be a sprint race (zero at 9:00, start at 10:00), followed by a relay in the afternoon.The 4 x 2 km relay will mix three cross country legs and one biathlon (classic, classic, skating, biathlon).
The sprint race is not open to novice athletes, all competitors must have their own rifle. Novice athletes may do the biathlon leg of the relay. There will be a safety clinic beginning at Noon.
Registration and full details at skireg. The pre-registration deadline is tomorrow night at 5:00 PM. Day of race registration will not be available.
