Snow conditions were excellent at Saratoga biathlon on Saturday for the Annual Shenendahowa classic.
Chief Groomer Jim Schreiner Set firm tracks on a hilly and winding course despite the cold snow. After a hilly portion of the 5k, skiers looped by the start and climbed back up for a modified house loop. Like the majority of this seasons racers we had plenty of snow and the swix wax thermometer was in the green zone. For an interesting change the cold snow was dry powdery, and a bit draggy.
HURT racers came out with big numbers to register another win in the club championship circuit. They brought along Section 2 All stars Aaron Huneck, Owen Putman, and Sarah and Amy Duclos. Fresh off the podium in Section 2 Nordic Sectionals this past Wednesday. Their legs were still fresh and they logged fast times. Results will be up soon on our results page here:

Congratulations to all the hardy racers who braved the cold Saturday. We hope to see you all back On March 14th (or 15th) for the rescheduled Saratoga Mini marathon.
Snow should be very good this coming weekend @ Dewey Mtn. and Glenville hills, so Wax up and com on out!
