Sunday, April 17th is the NYSSRA Nordic planning meeting. This year it will be held at the GFCC in Queensbury, NY. If you unable to participate in the meeting, you can email your comments to your club representative, or to NYSSSRA-Nordic President Tim Huneck thuneck@nycap.com.
Below is the agenda for the meeting. Phone-in details will be made available a few days prior to the meeting.
Agenda
1. Finances – how did the lack of races this winter affect our bottom line and our goals for next year
– treasurer’s report
– insurance update
– executive director’s report
2. Revise the Mid-A Committee.
Proposal: create an up to 9-member committee. Five members would be the leaders of the 3 majors trips (JN, EHSC, U16) plus a NYSSRA representative appointed by the president. At large members would be elected by the committee on an annual basis. The NYSSRA representative would serve as chair. When it is formed, the committee will look at creating a criteria for JN qualifiers as well as the team selection process.
-JN’s are slated to be held in Lake Placid with Mid-A as the host region. Discussion of NYSSRA’s role (if any) in supporting that.
3. Revise the way payment is handled for junior trips.
4. Create a search for positions that will become vacant in the fall: xc chairman, second vp.
5. NYSSRA/NENSA membership
6. Reports from any committee regarding items that need to be addressed at this meeting.
7. Other items suggested by members.
Food will be available for purchase after the meeting.
