In just 12 days the Syracuse/Polar Bear Biathlon Pursuit Race will take place. On Saturday, July 31st the Polar Bear Biathlon Club will host the Sprint race to kick off the weekend. You can register for the sprint race on Skireg.com. The race starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Zero will be at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:30. On Sunday the Syracuse Biathlon Club will host the Pursuit portion of the weekend racing. You can register at this website: https://forms.gle/UBLDdbgNxj26m8VB7. The race on Sunday will start promptly at 11 a.m. using a modified pursuit start. Details of the race are listed at that website. Awards will be given for the race results each day plus on Sunday, the fastest Male and Female will be named to the Pursuit Weekend Champions List!
Due to the relaxing of COVID restrictions all levels of racer are eligible to register, aged 13 and up, for both days races. There will be day of race registration at an additional $5. For those who race on Saturday in the Sprint, you will receive a $5 savings in your entry fee for Sunday. We still require you to be a member of a certified Biathlon Club and a member of USBA. One day membership will be available for each day.
When we started the joint club races we wanted the overall winners to have a special award. So the winning Female and Male will have their names placed on the Pursuit Plaque displayed at the Osceola Ski and Snow Sport Center. Plus the winners will also receive a small plaque to display in their home.
