Let’s start the fireworks for Independence Day on Saturday July 1st! The Polar Bear Biathlon Club will be turning up the heat by hosting their first biathlon of the summer with a Sprint Race! We will have registration and bib pickup beginning at 8:30 Saturday Morning. 9:00 a.m. will be zero and race start will be promptly at 10:00 a.m. Racer fees are $25 per racer if pre-registered, $30 per racer on day of race registration. Novices are welcome, there will be some rifles available if you need one, please let me know if you need a rifle before race day, and it will be an interval start for all racers. If you are a first time racer, we will have a safety clinic to prepare everyone for proper range protocol. The course will be approximately 6 km, 2 km per lap. There will be an ~75 meter penalty loop in the event someone might miss a target! You can register on Skireg, open now, and will be closing on Thursday, June 29th at 8 p.m.
We hope you will come and join us in the beautiful scenic McCauley Mountain area. Bring your mountain bikes and spend some time after the race riding our trails, at no cost for their use! Help us turn up the heat to start the 4th of July Weekend! See you on July 1st!
