Old Forge will host their first summer biathlon running race on Saturday, June 12th. This will be the first of two events at McCauley Mountain in Old Forge New York. The field of racers will be divided into two categories, sport and competition. The sport racers will shoot prone with large targets for both shooting bouts. The competition class will shoot prone on small targets and standing on large targets. Registration will start at 9 a.m. with zero at 10 a.m. and race start at 11 a.m. There will be ribbons for all racers.
There will be day of race registration at a cost of $20 per person. For those that want to preregister you can do so on skireg. For those that preregister the fee will be $15. There will be a rifle safety course for those that have not taken one before. If you are not a member of USBA you may join for a day at a cost of $10. If you are not a member of a biathlon club you may join for the Polar Bear Biathlon Club for a one day fee of $5.
